Spencer MacCuish

Known among his Point West players for his words of wisdom and even-keeled demeanor on and off the floor, Spencer returned to Point West after some time off, now that his daughter is playing volleyball. He is passionate about the game and has an
exceptional ability to communicate with his players.

In his first year with PW, he led his 17s team to a 1st place finish at the Summer Soiree National Tournament in Anaheim. He brings a wealth of experience to the club having spent the past 25 years either coaching or playing. He has had success coaching at every level; at Canyon High School in Valencia he led the team to a .72 winning percentage over the course of his career there. Prior to
coaching at the high school level Spencer coached at the collegiate level working as a position coach primarily with middles and setters. Three of his players went on to become All-Americans.

He echoes Point West’s philosophy about using volleyball to teach important life skills and is thrilled to have his daughter as a part of the Point West family. Spencer lives in Simi Valley with his wife and 3 daughters.
